Trash organizing

Simple Rustic Holder

It's trash day here at my Maine home and I love seeing what I can do with trash! So I took some Toilet paper rolls and made them in to cute little holders for stuff!
What you Need
  • TP rolls
  • Glue Gun
  • Twin, Jute rope, hay or ribbion
  • Buttons or other accent pieces

So make sure they are in good shape and glue them in a triangle. Make sure you glue them level.

Now, the fun part you can do so much with these!

  • Add lace and burlap for a rustic wedding feel, hold pens, hide little faces for flowers.
  • At a baby shower could hold pens for games or straws.
  • At a BBQ your plastic utensils.
  • Save  a lot for individual napkin utensil holder.

  • Wedding initials!
     Baby Shower cute animal!
    Buttons simple but fun!

I just used simple hay from my scarecrow project, glued the bow, added accent and its done!
So many possibilities..... add more rolls for kids markers paint brushes... Let me know or show me what you guys come up with!!

    Scarecrow DIY

To Make this you will Need

    • Old socks
    • Hay
    • Glue gun
    • Scissors & a Box
    • Vacuum:)

For me and my SO our costumes are simple but fun! I am going to be the Scarecrow!

I cut the tops of the socks off to make a cuff. Then opened my Dollar store hay like product mine was a big ball of a mess!

Take the cuff off of coarse and start glueing the hay on just remember depending on the thickness of your sock you might need to put card board in-between . I also used a box to push down the hay so I didn't burn myself.

Cut the end toward you neatly and the outer edge leave messy and you are complete. I only did the top I hate itchy things but they're going to look great under my plaid flannel shirt! I will show a full picture closer to Halloween:)
Up Next I will be taking an old pumpkin costume and making it into the Lion!

    My creative Journey!

I think the first time I got this creative crazy idea feeling, was when I was playing with my Barbies and Oh!, how she needed a hair cut!! Then, of coarse I managed to cut my sisters Barbies hair and a fight broke out and a little yelling.... My resolution was offering one of my Barbies to let my sister have at it but she was more keep my barbie in its original box sort of kid. I eventually made lots of bracelets, I helped my mom bake, I started gardening at 12 neither of my parents liked landscaping but I did.  I think I stopped coloring in my early 20's just gave my box of crayons to my 6 yr old.  I started dyeing my hair I even had dreads a friend help make for a bit. I wore different clothing not to crazy but double lined true army pants one day and a tight knee length skirt and tall boots the next. When I got into high school I started painting worked with clay I liked it but not as much as seeing something old become new again, creating something from something else or restoring something back to its original form.

Don't get me wrong a lot of what I think of I haven't even attempted but that is were this comes into play you get to learn, gain, or even laugh with or at me!!:) I am a mom of two and I am not perfect I will be learning a lot of my skills as I go or refreshing somethings I haven't done in years. My goal is to give you instructions on what I did and you can take My ideas, tweak them & make  them fit in your life some how.  Be Creative with me Life's a Journey lets make it Uniq together!

Up 1st Halloween: We are doing an OZ theme!! Stay tuned
